Maher: Appears Love ‘Revolutionary, Minority Police Chiefs’ Are Being Pushed Out ‘in the Establish of Social Justice’
On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Exact Time,” host Invoice Maher reacted to the departures of Seattle Police Chief Carmen Handiest and Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields by declaring that “it appears to be like like, in the name of social justice, we’re removing the most progressive, minority police chiefs and sunless officers.”
Maher talked about that Handiest “made the level, she talked about, smartly, while you defund the police, loads of the oldsters who obtain fired are the younger officers of colour, who, due to of seniority, will seemingly be the first to ride. So, it appears to be like like, in the name of social justice, we’re removing the most progressive, minority police chiefs and sunless officers. Maher later stated of Shields, “I mean, she used to be only on the job just a few years, and I read that the frequent tenure of a police chief is terribly brief. It appears to be like like that turnover itself is now not correct for attempting to kind the desires that we’re all attempting to kind. It appears to be like to me like there’s a portion of the left that correct won’t fetch anything else with the exception of perfection, and I don’t know any ultimate folks.”
