Larry Nassar Victims Request DOJ for Express on FBI’s Handling of Abuse Investigation

More than 120 victims of Larry Nassar, collectively with Simone Biles and Aly Raisman, signed a letter asking the Department of Justice for the release of an investigation into the FBI’s going thru of allegations against the prone USA Gymnastics doctor.

Per Sarah Fitzpatrick and Lisa Cavazuti of NBC Recordsdata, the letter asks:

“Why is the Justice Department sitting on this document? We raise out no longer desire it withheld after which dangle authorities claim they’ll no longer indict and prosecute the folk all in favour of prison behavior for the explanation that statute of limitations has expired.

A spokesperson for the inspector current says the DOJ is conducting an investigation into the FBI’s going thru of the case and would safe the findings public when that investigation is concluded. The investigation has been ongoing since 2018.

USA Gymnastics first discovered about Nassar’s behavior in June 2015 but waited with regards to five weeks before alerting the FBI. Nassar persisted to lend a hand as the doctor for USA Gymnastics for greater than a year after the FBI and USA Gymnastics discovered out referring to the allegations.
