Florida TE Pitts will skip bowl sport, enter draft

Florida tight terminate Kyle Pitts is skipping his senior season and obtained’t play in the Gators’ upcoming bowl sport to organize for the 2021 NFL draft, he introduced on social media Sunday.

Pitts, a junior from Philadelphia, is believed-just a few capability top-10 elevate.

“After significant prayer and consideration and talking with my family, I will forego my senior twelve months and enter the 2021 NFL draft and can restful no longer be enjoying in the bowl sport,” Pitts wrote on Twitter. “I am desirous to pursue my dreams of enjoying in the NFL. But I will forever be a Gator.”

Pitts (6-foot-6, 239 pounds) is ranked No. 1 among tight ends by ESPN draft analysts Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay. Kiper ranks Pitts as the No. 7 prospect overall; McShay ranks him 10th.

Pitts has 43 catches for 770 yards with 12 touchdowns in eight video games this season for the Gators, who are expected to be chosen to play in a New twelve months’s Six bowl sport on Sunday. He had seven receptions for 129 yards with one fetch in a 52-46 loss to No. 1 Alabama in Saturday evening’s SEC championship sport.
