Gritty spent his first Philadelphia Flyers Stanley Cup Playoff game intelligent some fellow furry pals at home.
The Flyers mascot officiated a game of home canines for Gritty’s Pups on Ice that aired at some level of the main and second intermission of Recreation 1 of the Jap Convention First Spherical between the Flyers and Montreal Canadiens.
Gritty and the Flyers teamed up with Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society for a series of dog hockey games. Footage from the game will air at some level of every intermission, and the Flyers will feature a standout pup that may per chance per chance both be fostered or adopted.
Gritty had particular guidelines for the model he’d ref the game, declaring “five for combating, 15 for pooping.” He had a somewhat uneventful opening length but did name a penalty shot when one pup closed his jaw over the puck in the crease.
