NASA Partners With Nokia to Assemble a Cell Community on the Moon

As cell carriers are pushing for 5G connectivity across the world, a recent partnership between NASA and Nokia is now promising to bring mobile connectivity to the moon.

Presented on Monday, the duo plans to have the mobile network built by boring 2022. But unlike here on Earth, they’ll be using the extra tested and legit 4G LTE network. Though Nokia says this could produce the leap to 5G “eventually.”

Nokia is partnering with Intuitive Machines, a private, Texas-essentially based spacecraft manufacture company to raise the instruments between Earth and the Moon by the exhaust of their lunar lander.
