Ragged Auburn DE Mighty Kat Bryant reuniting with Gus Malzahn at UCF

March 2 (UPI) — Ragged Auburn Tigers defensive close Mighty Kat Bryant announced Tuesday on social media he’ll transfer to the College of Central Florida and reunite with head football coach Gus Malzahn.

“Tbh I’m correct ready to play ball,” Bryant wrote on Twitter. “I didn’t bag to ruin college football esteem I needed to last year attributable to damage. They are saying greatness takes persistence and within the midst of this task I’ve correct grew hungrier.”

Bryant, who used to be a 2d-crew All-SEC replacement last year, at the starting up announced his intentions to transfer to Tennessee in January. Bryant, alternatively, made up our minds to transfer somewhere else after the Vols fired head coach Jeremy Pruitt.

Auburn fired Malzahn in December after his eight seasons at the helm. UCF hired him last month to succeed Josh Heupel, who modified Pruitt as head coach at Tennessee.

Below Malzahn, Bryant played in 48 total video games and used to be a two-year starter at Auburn. He recorded 53 total tackles, 10 sacks, two compelled fumbles, one fumble restoration and two interceptions with the Tigers.

Bryant is the third aged Auburn player to divulge a transfer to UCF. He joins working abet Label-Antony Richards and receiver Nate Craig-Myers, who started his collegiate career at Auburn earlier than spending the last two years at Colorado Express.
