Las Vegas Raiders star working support Josh Jacobs will omit Sunday’s recreation against the Pittsburgh Steelers as he continues to take care of toe and ankle accidents.
Jacobs, 23, has emerged as one of many most straight forward working backs in the NFL after factual two seasons. As a rookie, he posted 1,150 rushing yards and 7 rankings in 13 games, adding 20 catches for 166 yards.
He did not let up in 2020, with 1,065 rushing yards and 12 rankings in 15 contests to skedaddle alongside with 33 catches for 238 yards. That earned him his first Pro Bowl decision, with the expectation it’ll also not be his last.
The Raiders had a most attention-grabbing attention-grabbing offseason spherical Jacobs, electing to signal Kenyan Drake to a two-365 days, $11 million contract while procuring and selling center Rodney Hudson, guard Gabe Jackson take care of Trent Brown. The adjustments, especially to the offensive line, were comparatively unfamiliar.
But Jacobs told Ed Graney of the Las Vegas Overview-Journal in June that he came to skedaddle to to the strikes:
“I’d not lie—when [the changes] first occurred with [the line]—I was like ‘Rattling, what are we doing?’ But then I saw who we picked up and watched recreation film and saw them utter and how they were working, I was like, ‘We will be good.’
“I’ve identified [Drake] without a sign of ending because of the the Alabama days when he would attain support and prepare with me the total time. His recreation speaks for itself—very versatile, can play in the slot, very ideal in inaugurate space. He goes to be a huge addition.”
Now these strikes will doubtless be extra examined as Drake gets jam to take care of a heavy workload in Week 2.
