Askar Askarov vs. Alex Perez added to UFC Fight Evening on July 31

Askar Askarov and Alex Perez will sq. off in a pivotal flyweight conflict.

Askarov (14-0-1 MMA, 3-0-1 UFC) meets Perez (24-6 MMA, 6-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Evening on July 31 on the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Both opponents confirmed the news on social media following an initial content from BJPenn.com.

Askarov, a dilapidated ACB flyweight champion, is unbeaten in his UFC tenure. After struggling with to a split design with contemporary UFC 125-pound champ Brandon Moreno in his promotional debut, Askarov has received three straight over Tim Elliott, Alexandre Pantoja and most recently dilapidated title challenger Joseph Benavidez at UFC 259 in March.

Dana White’s Contender Series alum Perez is coming off a major-spherical submission loss to then-flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 255 in November. Prior to that, Perez received three straight, including serve-to-serve “Performance of the Evening” finishes of Jordan Espinosa and Jussier Formiga.

With the addition to the card, the July 31 lineup entails:
