Aug. 8 (UPI) — The Dixie Fireplace grew to turn out to be the 2d-supreme blaze in California’s history on Sunday, fire officials said.
Because it began burning on July 13 the Dixie Fireplace has grown to 463,477 acres and is trusty 21% contained, the U.S. Wooded space Provider said Sunday.
It has now surpassed the 2019 Mendocino Complex Fireplace, which burned 459,123 acres on the list of the divulge’s supreme fires and is 2d entirely to the August Complex Fireplace which burned 1,032,648 acres in 2020.
