Foo Warring parties Notch Fifth U.K. No. 1 With ‘Medication at Hour of darkness’

Medication at Hour of darkness is Dave Grohl and Co’s fifth U.K. No. 1 album following One By One (2002), Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (2007), Wasting Gentle (2011) and Concrete & Gold (2017).

It’s the handiest-selling vinyl album too, selling 10,500 copies to shield top catch on the U.K.’s Reliable Vinyl Albums Chart.

Coming in at No. 2 on the national albums chart is The Weeknd’s The Highlights (Republic Files/XO), released to capitalize on the Canadian R&B singer’s Feb. 7 Dazzling Bowl performance. It’s potentially the most streamed album of the week in the U.K.

Additional down the checklist, experimental rock outfit Unlit Country, Unique Motorway bow at No. 4 with their debut album For The First Time (Ninja Tune); folks outfit Quick Foxes’ 2020 album Shore (Anti) reenters the chart at No. 5 following its launch on bodily codecs; and Jessie Ware’s What’s Your Pleasure? (Virgin) returns to the watch at No. 9 following the English singer’s performance of her contemporary single “Be conscious Where You Are” on the Graham Norton Showcase.

Over on the Reliable U.K. Singles Chart, Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” (Interscope) parks at the summit for a fifth consecutive week.

The teenage California singer and actor’s energy ballad notches yet one more 59,000 chart sales, including 7.2 million streams, to capture off Nathan Evans’ “Wellerman” (Polydor) with 220 Kid & Billen Ted, which holds at No. 2.
