Every time Nintendo holds one of its Annual Standard Assembly of Shareholders, its directors are confronted with a brand new sequence of votes from shareholders to assess their approval scores. This day, the day of the 80th annual assembly, will not be any diversified, and we bear a fable of how the votes went down below.

Shareholders were asked to vote both in favour or in opposition to company president Shuntaro Furukawa and directors, Shigeru Miyamoto, Shinya Takahashi, Ko Shiota and Satoru Shibata. This is how they voted (with attributable to Perfectly-Nintendo for the interpretation):

  • Shuntaro Furukawa: 937,392 votes in favour (95.47%), 41,324 votes in opposition to, 245 failed to vote
  • Shigeru Miyamoto: 965,332 votes in favour (98.32%), 12,059 votes in opposition to, 1,575 failed to vote
  • Shinya Takahashi: 965,552 votes in favour (98.34%), 11,834 votes in opposition to, 1,575 did unusual vote
  • Ko Shiota: 965,559 votes in favour (98.34%), 11,827 votes in opposition to, 1,575 did unusual vote

Curiously, all 5 directors saw their approval rating expand year-on-year, with Furukawa’s rating leaping the most up to 95.47% from excellent year’s 92.04%.

The assembly also touched upon skill sport delays attributable to COVID-19, a mercurial apology over Pleasure-Con waft, and the methodology forward for Nintendo Directs.
