Rick Carlisle hired by Pacers after Mavericks departure

The Pacers have hired Rick Carlisle as their subsequent head coach, per ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. 

Carlisle’s deal shall be for four years and $29 million, per MacMahon.

Carlisle joins Indiana one week after parting systems with the Mavericks. He led Dallas to the playoffs 9 times in 13 years, alongside with a championship bustle in 2011. The Mavs’ ’20–21 season ended in a first-round loss to the Clippers.
