VanVleet: ‘Time to money out’ in free agency

With NBA free agency web say to originate subsequent week, coveted guard Fred VanVleet has his eyes web say on breaking the bank.

“I am attempting to get paid, man,” VanVleet acknowledged in an appearance on JJ Redick’s “The Veteran Man and the Three” podcast. “I am not scared about that.”

VanVleet, 26, hits the market with a resounding resume constructed over four seasons with the Toronto Raptors. The undrafted guard has emerged over the closing two seasons, ending this summer with occupation highs of 17.6 factors, 6.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game in 54 contests.

VanVleet particularly turned it on within the playoffs, leading the Raptors with a median of 19.6 factors over 11 games sooner than they were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the second round.

“I haven’t got to characterize those who I worth winning,” acknowledged VanVleet, a key bench participant at some level of Toronto’s 2019 championship bustle. “I’ve never been on a shedding crew in my total existence. … I won a championship, and now it be time to money out.

“I am simplest four years in, but I feel love I am on the verge of blossoming important extra, with extra of a lead role and taking extra accountability in my game.”

VanVleet added at some level of the interview that he feels he would not own anything left to expose in Toronto.

“I will gape on the full offers on the desk,” he acknowledged. “I know how I feel love I am worth, and I will glimpse if their minds are within the identical enviornment as me. If not, then we will preserve the most easy deal on the desk.”

NBA free agency will originate Nov. 20.
